Odd-numbered slots are controlled by Control Processor 1, while even-numbered slots are controlled by Control Processor 2, thereby implementing a dual-processor redundant control architecture. The unit is equipped with a hinged front cover panel to conceal flat cables, and the rear I/O cover panel features a captive screw design to facilitate maintenance. It connects to the controller chassis via the IOBUS-CPIO vertical I/O bus.
